Culture collections

In Estonian Agribiocentre there are collected strains of pathogenic and opportunist microbe isolates (Mycobacterium, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Erysipelothrix, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Trichophyton) and also isolates of lactobacilli (228 strains). Besides the local strains there are some reference strains from Moscow Control Institute of Biological and Medicinal Preparations, from the Russian Control Institute of Veterinary Preparations.
The cultures of microbes are stored in lyophilised
state and on medium Protect Bacterial Preservers at To -20C. Bank of the strains will be utilized in scientific research, diagnostics and in production of biological preparations.
